Market Weighton Canal
Description
Pike to over 20lb are found in this 6 mile stretch of land drain / former canal situated some 20 miles west of Hull. The Market Weighton canal starts at Sodhouse lock and flows down to the Humber estuary at Weighton Lock, passing through the village of Newport around half way. The water is included in the Hull and District AA yearbook and day tickets can also be purchased in advance from the Newsagent in Newport.
The main access points are Newport village and Broomfleet Landing with the mouth of the River Foulness to the north of Newport also popular.
Can there be a better value yearbook than the one offered at 34 pounds by HDAA?
