Sandall Park Carp

Venue Type: Clay Pit
Description: Sandall Park Lake is the main focus of this council run park near to the centre of Doncaster. The Park, which boasts a friendly and safe atmosphere, is a popular location for families, with a cafe, toilets and two play ares for children (and grown up kids). The Anglers of Sandall Park have taken over the running of the fishing and a lot of effort has gone into improving the park. The lake is getting a spruce up from the anglers and lots of snags are being removed. The lake has two islands and an average depth of four feet, it is quite silty in places. An impressive twenty four pounder was the biggest pike caught last season. There are two areas where fishing is not allowed, indicated in red on the map.
